Why did Egyptians worship cats?
Ancient Egyptians believed that cats played key roles in guarding there food from rodents. Cats fed on the rodents from feeding on the crops or precious grains. Then later the Ancient Egyptians would sell the crop and grains to the market. Ancient Egyptians admired the cats in all aspects of life. Soon cats became Egyptian culture. In response Egyptians would provide shelter, food, and all the cats need for daily use. Even wild cats lived closer to human settlements. Like modern humans, Egyptians considered cats as loyal companions. Last, Egyptians believed picturing cats in dream would be a sign of good harvest the upcoming year.
